Self-Study Modules
Self Study Videos provide you with the opportunity to enhance your
professional development as an early child care professional within your own
home or center. By viewing a video, completing the required activities and answering the self study
questions that go along with the video, you will receive two training hours of credit, which can be applied towards CDA or DCFS in-service hours along with a training certificate for
completing the self- study module.
The Self Study videos provide a variety of information on a wide range of topics related to the child care field. Listed below are the self-study video titles available through the Child Care Resource + Referral Program. Please be advised that a title may not be available at the time of your request, although you are given the opportunity to place that specific title on reserve.
There is a $10.00 fee for each video/or each certificate, which is due prior to the check out of the video. You may send your payment along with your video title request by mail to: Children's Home Aid, Attention: Self Study, 2133 Johnson Road. Granite City, IL 62040 or you may call and schedule an appointment to come to the office in person to pay for and pick up the video.
The self-study videos and booklets may be checked out for a maximum of two weeks. A late fee of $1.00 per day/per iten will be assessed if returned past the due date. Upon completion of the required activities, please return the video and booklet along with the answers to the self-study questions, documentaion of the self-study activities and the completed evaluation form. You will be provided a training certificate or feedback within one month.
