Child Care Nurse Consultant Program
The Child Care Nurse Consultant Program is a partnership between local Health Departments and Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies. The Child Care Nurse Consultant Program was established in response to the growing need for additional support services in the area of health and safety in child care. The Child Care Nurse Consultant is a nurse employed by a local Health Department who may reside in a Child Care Resource & Referral office. The goal of the Child Care Nurse Consultant is to build strong connections between child health experts, child care providers and families to support healthy and safe child care environments and ultimately healthy outcomes for children in care. There are numerous services the Child Care Nurse Consultant can provide: training; parent & child health education; assessment of health policies and procedures; provide telephone/on-site consultations; and overall, promote quality child care in the community.

Parents Care & Share of Illinois
Now and then every parent can use additional support with his or her day-to-day challenges of child rearing. Parents Care & Share of Illinois offers a complete, non-judgmental atmosphere in which parents can share feelings, problems and successes related to parenting. Parents Care & Share of Illinois is open to any parent who desires additional support. Parents Care & Share of Illinois provides the tools for parents to develop a better relationship with their children, whether they are toddlers or teenagers.

Parents Care & Share of Illinois' groups are professionally facilitated and parent led. Parents can participate as long as they feel the need for group support. A children's group meets under the supervision of a child care specialist while parents are attending Parents Care & Share of Illinois meetings. The Illinois Child Support Enforcement can help you:
  • locate absent parents.
  • establish paternity.
  • obtain child support orders.
  • review and update support orders.
  • obtain medical support for children.
  • collect support payments.
Child support services are available to all single parents (and parents who are still married but separated) regardless of income. An application processing fee not to exceed $25.00 may be charged to persons who apply for child support enforcement services and do not receive public assistance.
