The Child Care Nurse Consultant Program was established in response to the growing need for additional support services in the area of health and safety in child care. The Child Care Nurse Consultant is a nurse employed by a local Health Department who may reside in a Child Care Resource & Referral office. The goal of the Child Care Nurse Consultant is to build strong connections between child health experts, child care providers and families to support healthy and safe child care environments and ultimately healthy outcomes for children in care. There are numerous services the Child Care Nurse Consultant can provide: training; parent & child health education; assessment of health policies and procedures; provide telephone/on-site consultations; and overall, promote quality child care in the community. Put Children First The Illinois Child Support Enforcement can help you: locate absent parents. establish paternity. obtain child support orders. review and update support orders. obtain medical support for children. collect support payments. Child support services are available to all single parents (and parents who are still married but separated) regardless of income. An application processing fee not to exceed $25.00 may be charged to persons who apply for child support enforcement services and do not receive public assistance.
