KidCare - Health Insurance for Illinois Children
Maybe you can't afford health insurance. Maybe you've got health insurance, but can't afford to include your children. Now there's a health insurance program in Illinois, which makes it possible to give your children the medical care they need starting even before they are born.
The program called KidCare, provides health insurance, which covers everything from routine check-ups to earaches and broken legs. If you're pregnant, or have kids 18 years old or younger who need health insurance, you need KidCare.
To determine eligibility and to receive an application, visit the nearest office of
the Illinois Department of Human Services, a local health department, a Women, Infants and
Children (WIC) site, a participating hospital or clinic, or call the KidCare Helpline at
1-800-226-0768.
